Casey’s Customer Donations Exceed Expectations

Casey’s General Stores, Inc. (Casey’s) first month-long charitable round-up program ended with a total of $2,357,362.52, far surpassing the program’s expectations. Proceeds will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) benefiting 28 local CMN Hospitals within Casey’s marketing territories.

“The CMN Hospitals Round-up program was a huge success,” said Terry Handley, President and CEO at Casey’s. “While Casey’s collected the donations, the real recognition goes to our valued customers who are 100% responsible. On their behalf, we’re thrilled to present this check to the CMN Hospitals”

The round up program had staggered start dates depending on the store location, but each store ran the program for four weeks, mostly in February. At the cash register, customers were asked if they wanted to “round-up” their purchase to the nearest dollar – the average amount donated was $0.39.

“Donating only a few cents at a time can provide tremendous results for such a worthy cause,” added Handley.

“We are grateful to Casey’s and its customers for their support of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said John Lauck, President and CEO of CMN Hospitals. “We know this sizable donation to the Children’s Hospitals will help them in their treatment of sick and injured children.”
