Casey’s raises $1.1 million for sick and injured children in 2018

Casey’s General Store associates and customers celebrated five consecutive years of support for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, raising a grand total of $1,179,855 during the month of February 2018. Since 2014, Casey’s has raised more than $5.1 million to support local sick and injured kids.

More than 2,000 Casey’s stores took part in the annual Miracle Balloon campaign from Feb 1 – 28, asking their customers to make a donation to that store’s local CMN Hospital.  In return for their donation, customers received a coupon for Casey’s Donuts and Lipton Pure Leaf Tea to use at their next Casey’s visit.

Casey’s is dedicated to staying involved to the communities it serves by giving back. A total of 27 local children’s hospitals benefited from funds raised by Casey’s in 2018. These funds are used where there is the most need, such as uncompensated care, education, equipment, special services and more.

More than 10 million kids enter a children’s hospital across North America every year. To provide the best care for kids, children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has helped fill those funding gaps by raising more than $5 billion, most of it $1 at a time through Miracle Balloon icon campaigns, just like the Casey’s campaign. Fundraising partners and programs support the nonprofit’s mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Thank you, Casey’s associates and customers, for making miracles happen in 2018!
